2012 was an amazing year for the Dirty Harlots! Representing Hood River, podium after podium finish. The girls trained hard, and it paid off. With the support from all of our amazing sponsors, the team swept the Oregon Enduro Series!
Ingrid Larouche placed 6th overall as a first year women’s pro rider. Shana Sweitzer claimed the CAT 1 open women’s, while her best friend and teammate Jennifer Johnson chased her to the end for a very close 2nd place overall. These two remarkable women have competed head to head their entire lives. The two were only seconds apart in every stage!
Firefighter and amazing athlete Erica Nelson had an impressive season balancing her life adventures and racing for the Harlots. She placed 4th overall. Kelly Knokes our young and inspiring Environmental law student took 5th overall with her friend Val Vanderpool placing 8th. It was inspiring to watch these ladies chase their edge.
The Cat 2 category was taken by Stephanie Armesto with Heather Pola in third place. These two up and coming riders will be something to keep your eye on.
We are all looking forward to the 2013 race season. Our team will be expanding with some talented new riders. Our ladies have been busy re-building Post Canyon and training hard for the 2013 Oregon Enduro Series. C U ALL ON THE TRAILS!!!
